New Sport - Racecar Slipper Racing

Tonight after dinner, we asked the kids to go up and get their PJ's on. K came down with a t-shirt, his underwear and a pair of his race car slippers on. We all had a good laugh at that one.
Soon after the girls decided to get their PJ's on and A came down with a top and her underwear on. She also had K's other pair of race car slippers.
K being the competitive boy that he is decided that they would play a new game, race care slipper racing. For the next 30 minutes all three of them took turns racing each other through the house trying to beat each other at Race Car Slipper Racing.
They were having a ball and we all laughed and laughed and laughed. It was so much fun to watch them chase around and then Daddy had the idea of being a road block so he got in on all the fun too. I posed on the sofa as the photographer as I knew I was going to have to write about this one! I love this age and tonight was so much fun with daddy finally home again and everyone relaxed and having fun. Belly Laughing is medicine to the soul. So get ready and rev your engines.

NEW SPORT-CUSHION DIVING

Tonight the kids wanted to bring their new CD player upstairs to the living room so they could have a dance party with me. I agreed so we started to dance and have a lot of fun. The new favorite CD around here is GO FISH-Preschool Party. It is all the good ole preschool/toddler songs but to a fun beat.
After we had been dancing for awhile, the kids started to find all the cushions from the sofas and chairs in our house. They lined them all up and they started to Jump off an old stone plant stand that I have. It was so much fun to watch and the kids were really have a great time. As usual, they were like the Energizer Bunny and they kept going and going and going. It was a fun night with the kids after an already too long week at work. Also, Daddy is back and focused on home now that he has passed his big test with flying colors. We are all so proud of him and we are so excited that he is mentally back with us. I have already assigned Preschool research to him. AHHHHH, something off my plate.
Life is good. One of my new year resolutions this year is to slow down and smell the flowers or at least notice the fun around here. I think I did a great job of it tonight.

Little Mechanics

Today Jon was in charge and he decided it was time to get the kids "jeep's" out for them to drive around. They had a blast and all night long they have been begging to go out and drive their jeep's again. He snapped these great pictures of the kids "working" on their jeep's and Jon said he took them for our friend Denny! It was nice to see that the kids are finally getting the hang of driving these jeep's. Last year when we got them out they had no idea how to steer so they kept banging into the curb and each other. Needless to say we put them away until this year. I am really looking forward to summer (if it ever gets here). These kids are getting so much bigger everyday. We laugh a lot around here and that is good for the soul.

Oh and tonight as we were walking into the house I said "phew, why does it stink in here" to which KJ replied "because you have the toots mommy". Jon spent a good 2-3 minutes laughing so hard he could not talk. The things he teaches them when I am at work!!!!

Little Bakers

As I have mentioned before, our good friends Sue and Denny like to have play dates with the triplets. This past Sunday was one of those play dates. This is such a blessing for all of us as Sue and Denny have the patients to do things with the triplets such as baking. They are always making cookies, bars, their own lunch, dinner, and lots of fun stuff.

When I went to pick the kids up on Sunday they had baked some bread. Sue said they all did a great job and when she turned around after they were done and it was time to clean up, Aimee was licking all of her fingers. She has learned that dough tastes soooo good. Hopefully she won't get any worms! With the influence of Sue with her baking and Grandma Mary with her cooking maybe I will have some chefs some day. I need to spend some more time in the kitchen doing some cooking. Although, from the looks of it these kids will be able to make Jon and I dinner in no time!
Both Jon and I are happy that these guys get the exposure to these kinds of things. I know the kids really enjoy it as just tonight Ella came up to look at these pictures and she told me all about her bread making experience. She said it was fun and that her fingers got all sticky! Oh and Sue, if you are reading this, we ate the bread with dinner the other night and it was yummy! Thanks a bunch!

New Sport: Hill Rolling

So last night Jon and I were out in our backyard with the kids just hanging out before it was bath time. Jon started to roll down the hill with the kids and they loved it. He would hold one tight with his arms and then roll and roll and roll down the hill. He would then let them climb up on his back and give them a ride back up the hill.
It was fun to watch them roll and laugh and have a great time. Here are some pictures from the event.

New Sport: Puddle Jumping

Yesterday, was a beautiful, almost spring, day here. It was close to 60 and a lot of this snow was melting. The kids all wanted to go outside so we put their boots on them and took them out. The first attraction (and last) was a great BIG puddle of water. They had so much fun running, jumping, and stomping, in this water.

I am sure the neighbors thought we were nuts as the neighbor kids were out with hats, snow pants, mittens, etc.. on and here are kids are running through water with just vests, no hats, no snow pants. At one point E fell down on her butt and sat in the puddle of water.
They had a blast doing this. We had to practically drag them back in the house due to fear they would get to cold and then sick.

We striped them down right on the front porch and then took them in and put jammies on them. As you can see from the pictures...they LOVED it.

Wiggles Dancing

I am happy to announce that the WIGGLES are back in the Erickson Household! That is right folks, all three of the kids are in LOVE with the Wiggles again! Thank God we have a lot of Wiggles DVD's and we also have Tivo so we can record the Wiggles since they are on at 6 AM and we are not up at that time!

This morning as I was cleaning up the breakfast dishes I watched something amazing unfold. A and E started to dance just like the Wiggles! It was so cute to watch them twist, turn, clap, jump, and move just like the Wiggles.
The fun continued tonight at Grandma and Grandpa's house as they wanted to show Grandpa how they dance just like the Wiggles. They entertained us for over an hour dancing and belly laughing to the Wiggles.

K was playing a game where he would go lay on the couch tonight and pretend to snore so someone had to go wake him up (with kisses) then he would laugh and do it again and again. >

These kids are getting so darn big. I am having a lot of fun right now. God truly has blessed my life!
