Father's Day 2012

We would like to take this time to say THANK YOU to our Daddy!  Thank you for hugs, kisses, stories, games, lessons, tying shoes, wiping tears, night time snuggles, working hard, loving our mom, and showing us how to love and most of all loving us to no end.  On this day we would like to take a moment to let you know how much we love you and appreciate all you do for us. You are the best daddy we could of asked for and we thank our lucky stars that you are our daddy.  We hope you know how much we think you ROCK and how much you are loved by all of us.  Happy Father's Day Dad!

Ear Piercing ~ A Milestone To Remember

The girls wanted to get their ears pierced so for their Birthday, Jon and I surprised them and told them that their gift was to let them get their ears pierced. We had to wait until soccer was over so this past Friday was the big day. We had Grandma Mary and Jane with us to help with support of the big event. The girls did awesome! No tears and they were so brave. They really love having their ears pierced. I remember the day I got my ears pierced....do you? I think it is a big milestone for a girl when she can get her ears pierced. So much fun, and so pretty.

First and Last Day

Here are the pictures of the kids from their first Day of 1st Grade and their last day of 1st grade.  Oh what a wonderful school year this has been.  It was fun to watch how much the kids learned and how much they truly enjoy school.

First Day of 1st Grade
Time sure seems to pick up speed once you get the kids into school.  This year flew by us and I know it will just keep getting faster.

Last Day of 1st Grade
Big thanks to the four teachers, Mrs. Z, Mrs. S, Mrs. S, and Mrs. B that taught our children and made this year so wonderful.  We are forever grateful for all you have done.  It has been a Fantastic year.  We look forward to the summer and a slower pace but we sure will miss some of our friends and of course the teachers.

Amusement Park Afternoon

We had a spectacular afternoon at the Amusement Park yesterday.  We were lucky enough to arrange a play date with some of our favorite friends.  LDT and AEK are doing VBS this week at LDT's church.  Their Mom Tina is their leader and the kids just LOVE it.  Once again the VBS has won over their hearts.  After VBS yesterday, we headed to the amusement park for some fun.
Still not to young for the "little" adventure rides.

Fun is what we all had.  Even the Mom's (who may of had more fun than the kids).  We laughed, we rode, we talked, and most of all we had a spectacular afternoon.
It is so fun to see the kids get so excited for all the rides big or small.  They truly are so proud of themselves when they have tackled a new "big" ride.  I have to say that they are all so brave and that is amazing.

Proud "BIG" kids going on the big roller coaster.
We truly love to go to the park and we have vowed to go back with LTD and their mom again very soon.
Successful Day at the park ended with the famous LOG Shoot ride!
Thank you so much for an awesome day LTD and Momma Tina!  We love you guys!

Roller Skate Fun

This year the girls decided that they wanted to go Roller Skating for their Birthday Party.  So off to the roller skating rink we went.  A and E each had their own party and got to invite a few friends.  They picked friends from school and girl scouts.  They had a blast.

Uncle T came to help us out, Jon and I both roller skated along with some of the other parents that were there.  It was a ton of fun.
Grandma Carol made headbands for each of the girls parties and this worked out great.  It really helped us to determine what girl was in what group.

We roller skated, had lunch, had cake, the girls each got a turn in the money machine and it was a total blast.  It was fun to get to hang out with some of the girls friends from school as well.  Such a nice group of kids.

Surfing Fun

This year we broke the kids birthday parties into three separate parties.  We limited the number of kids they could invite and we did these parties outside of our home.
The Boys Waiting to Surf
The Life Guard Giving K Pointers
Whoops!  Need more instruction.
K had his party on Saturday at a local Water Park.  So we headed over there after soccer.  We had a fantastic time.  It was a small group of boys from school but they were all so well behaved and polite.  It makes Jon and I proud of K for picking such great friends.
Hot Tub to Warm Up
Gift Opening and Pizza Time
The Boys
We spend 4 hours swimming, sliding, and then eating.  The boys favorite was the surfing.  They all took a turn try to surf in the surfing pool.  Jon loved the surfing too!  We were lucky to have Uncle T and Grandma Mary with us as well and it was a good number of adults to kids.

Spring Fun Day 2012

On Friday at the kids school, they celebrated their Spring Fun Day. This day is AWESOME! The kids, teachers, and parents get to celebrate all the hard work that has been done all year long! They have bouncy houses, a DJ, crazy hair station carnival, and a talent show just to name a few!
This year spring fun day fell on the kids birthday and they could not have been anymore excited about that!
I was able to spend the majority of my day at the school and we all had a blast!
What a great school year it has been. I can't believe that we will be moving onto 2nd grade in just a few short months! Hello summer....we welcome you and look forward to the slower pace you will bring! Pool, lake, amusement park, and lots of down time!

Eight Is Great...

....especially in The Erickson 5 Household today.  It is hard to believe but the kiddos are turning 8 today.  They are all so excited.  Jon and I decided to make it extra special for them and we decorated the house last night after they went to bed.
Every year at this time I always reflect on how fast time is going by.  It is hard to believe that we are already at 8 years of age.  I truly cannot remember what my life was like before I had my three amazing children but I do know that they bring so much joy to both Jon and I and we are both truly enjoying this ride of raising our three awesome kids.
Every Birthday makes me a little sad because time is going by so quickly.  However, I am also excited to enter a new age with the kids and enjoy them more and more every year.  I am excited to make even more great memories and spend more quality time together.
Seven was an awesome year.  They have learned so much at school, they have made so many new friends, and we have enjoyed all the firsts that we have had in the First Grade.

God Bless You A, E, and K today and always as you turn 8 years old!  We love you so much and we pray you have a wonderful Birthday today and another year that will be filled with magic, memories, and all the things that make you happy.
